Privacy Policy for Easy Bill Book
Effective Date: September 22, 2026
Easy Bill Book (“the App”) is developed, owned, and operated by Biswanath Bagani (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you install, access, or use the App.
Easy Bill Book is an offline-first invoicing and billing utility designed for small businesses in India. The App operates locally on your device, does not rely on external servers, and does not transmit your personal or commercial records over the internet.
1. Key Principles & Summary
-
Zero External Data Collection: We do not collect, transmit, track, or store any of your business, personal, or financial information on external servers.
-
No Internet Access: The App does not declare or request network access (
android.permission.INTERNET). It cannot send or receive data across the web. -
100% Local Storage: All customer profiles, inventory details, transaction logs, and generated invoices reside solely within your device’s internal storage sandbox.
-
No Third-Party Trackers: The App contains no advertising networks, behavioral analytics platforms, crash-reporting SDKs, or tracking scripts.
-
No Data Brokerage: Because we do not collect or possess your data, we cannot sell, rent, license, or share it with third parties.
2. Information Handled on Your Device
All data processed by the App is entered directly by you and saved exclusively to a local database on your device:
-
Business Profile: Business name, owner/proprietor name, registered address, state, PIN code, contact phone number, email address, GSTIN, bank/payment details, business logo, and UPI/payment QR codes.
-
Client & Customer Records: Customer names, phone numbers, delivery/billing addresses, GSTIN numbers, state codes, and transaction notes.
-
Inventory & Catalog Data: Product/service titles, item codes, HSN/SAC codes, pricing, units of measurement, tax/GST slabs, discounts, and inventory quantities.
-
Financial & Billing Documents: Invoices, estimates, quotations, payment vouchers, line items, and audit trails.
-
Configuration Preferences: Custom invoice prefixing/numbering, localized currency preferences, and default terms and conditions.
None of this information is accessible to the developer. It remains on your hardware unless you actively trigger an export or sharing function.
3. User-Initiated Data Sharing & Device Interactions
The App facilitates document distribution strictly at your explicit command. No transmission occurs in the background or automatically:
-
Export, Print, and Direct Sharing: When generating a PDF or image of an invoice, estimate, or ledger, the file is processed locally and passed to your operating system’s standard intent/share system. When you route a file to an external app (such as WhatsApp, Gmail, Drive, or a print spooler), the privacy practices and terms of that respective third-party service apply.
-
Messaging & Mail Hand-offs: When sending an invoice alert via SMS, WhatsApp, or email, the App merely constructs a pre-formatted template and passes it to your selected communication app. You retain full control to review, modify, or cancel the message prior to sending.
-
Local Backups: You can compile your database into a local backup file to archive or move to another device. You control the storage destination of this file (e.g., local SD card, USB drive, personal cloud storage). We have no access to these backup files.
-
Media & Image Picker: When selecting a company logo or payment QR code, the App invokes the standard Android Photo Picker or system file browser. The App only accesses the specific image asset you confirm.
4. Device Permissions
The App operates under a minimal permission model:
-
No Network Permission: The App intentionally omits the
INTERNETpermission, ensuring network-level isolation. -
Scoped / System Handlers: File handling, image imports, and document outputs utilize modern system pickers and Android Storage Access Framework (SAF) workflows, eliminating the need for broad storage (
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE), contacts, or camera access.
5. Data Security & Integrity
Because your data never leaves your physical hardware via the App, data security is governed directly by your device’s operational security:
-
Device-Level Protection: We encourage using device encryption, strong lock-screen authentication (PIN, password, or biometrics), and maintaining updated operating system software.
-
Backup Management: Any exported PDFs, database dumps, or backup archives stored outside the App’s protected directory must be safeguarded according to your personal data handling standards.
6. Data Retention and Erasure
You maintain complete ownership and control over your records:
-
Selective Deletion: Records (invoices, clients, products) can be individually deleted within the App interface at any time.
-
Complete Erasure: You can permanently purge all stored information by clearing the App’s data cache via your device’s application manager (
Settings > Apps > Easy Bill Book > Storage > Clear Data) or by uninstalling the App. -
External Copies: Deleting data within the App does not automatically erase copies previously exported or shared to external drives, messaging platforms, or backup repositories. Managing external copies remains your responsibility.
7. Children’s Privacy
Easy Bill Book is a specialized business management tool designed for enterprise and commercial use by adults. It does not knowingly market to or solicit information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Given that no user data is collected or transmitted, no personal data from minors is gathered or stored by the developer.
8. Third-Party Integrations
The App does not include software development kits (SDKs), application programming interfaces (APIs), or background services from third-party advertising or analytics providers. External services are encountered exclusively when you choose to open an outside platform via system sharing intents.
9. Amendments to this Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect software enhancements, regulatory updates, or architectural changes. Any revisions will be published with a revised “Effective Date” at the top of this document. Continued use of the App following the posting of modifications indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
